Fall in Minnesota is a beautiful time of the year. The change in colors of the leaves, the brisk air, it reminds me that change surrounds us. As we appreciate the change in nature, it’s a good time to reflect on how we are changing as well. If we don’t have any change happening in our lives, we may need to look deeper to find out why.
It is my belief that we should always be changing and working towards improvement. I am reminded of what Steven Covey refers to as “sharpening the saw”. In the 7 habits of highly effective people, Covey describes how we should always be working towards improving our physical, mental, and spiritual health. I couldn’t agree more.
So as we pass through another Fall season, what are you doing to change for the better? If you are in a leadership role, what are you doing to become a better leader? How about your organization, is it making the necessary changes to continue improving?
As you ponder these questions, below I have posted a couple of pictures I took yesterday in my front yard. Enjoy!
